Be amazed by one of Colombia’s most extraordinary regions, where the presence of whales, the Pacific Ocean, and endless beaches blend seamlessly with lush rainforest and crystal-clear rivers: Chocó.
Chocó is located on Colombia’s Pacific coast and is a wild territory of extraordinary biodiversity. Its strategic position, in a transition zone between Central and South America, allows for the convergence of countless animal and plant species from both subcontinents.
The region’s geographic diversity ranges from páramo ecosystems in the high peaks of the Western Andes to vast expanses of lush rainforest, crossed by a dense network of rivers and streams that flow from east to west and reach the ocean, forming creeks and wide sandy beaches.
This natural richness is complemented by a deep cultural diversity. Indigenous communities, Afro-descendant populations, and settlers coexist in Chocó, and their traditions, knowledge, and ways of life give the region a unique identity and a cultural value as remarkable as its biodiversity.
This journey is an invitation to experience the Pacific Ocean at one of its most magical moments: the encounter with whales that arrive each year from Antarctica during their migration. It is an experience designed to immerse yourself in crystal-clear rivers, explore pristine beaches, walk through the rainforest, and connect with the extraordinary biological, ethnic, and cultural diversity of a wild territory that has preserved its essence and remoteness over time.
