MAVECURE HILLS –
AMAZONAS

amazonas

Discover the astonishing hills of Mavecure, surrounded by beautiful orange rivers, white sand beaches, Amazon jungle and the indigenous communities; in addition to that, spend one night in at the Mavecure Hills.

In one of the most isolated places in Colombia, in the Guainia department, we can find the Mavecure Hills. Three imposing rocks that elevate over the Colombian Amazon jungle, with up to 800 meters high and, in the middle of which, runs the majestic Inirida river that harbors the ancestral nature of some indigenous communities that live there. Simply, it is one of the most isolated places but one of the amazing ones in our country. These rocks belong to the Guyanes shield, one of the oldest geological formations on earth.

This is an enchanting travel through the beautiful rivers of the Colombian Amazon jungle, in which we will be visiting the imposing Mavecure Hills and its surrounding indigenous communities. The travel that is described above is a magical trip that takes us deep in the Amazon jungle, through its beautiful and diverse rivers, where we will have the possibility to observe its contrast and, besides, spend the night in one of its beaches with bright and starry sky above us. Climb to one of its summits, take a bath in one of the spectacular rivers, share with the indigenous communities, and observe the biological and cultural diversity present in this beautiful, yet savage territory, are the main attractions that this amazing experience offers.
